Nottingham Tips

Established in 1893, Nottingham Racecourse finds its home in Colwick Park, roughly three kilometers to the east of Nottingham City's center.

The racecourse features two tracks that nest within each other, each spanning approximately 1.5 miles.

In April 2013, Nottingham Racecourse made headlines when horses My Time, Majestic Manannan, and Thorpe Bay all tied for fourth place in the Lodge Farm Stud Chris and May Mullin Handicap, marking only the second triple dead heat in a decade.

As previously mentioned, Nottingham Racecourse hosts two parallel courses, both about 1.5 miles in length. The left-handed configuration includes a home stretch of four furlongs, with a straight course that accommodates races up to 5 furlongs on the inner track and up to 6 furlongs on the outer.

Nottingham Feature Races

Prominent events at Nottingham Racecourse feature the Barry Hills Further Flight Stakes and the Nottinghamshire Oaks, both listed races scheduled for early season in April.

One month later, the Kilvington Fillies’ Stakes occurs, stretching over a distance of 6 furlongs and 18 yards, an event that began in 2000.
