The Spanish state lottery operator, SELAE, is gearing up to restart national lottery operations, bringing joy to countless players and ticket vendors across the nation.
Currently, some parts of Spain, including Madrid, Barcelona, and Malaga, remain under stricter restrictions in Phase 0, unlike other areas that have progressed to Phase 1, which allows limited freedoms such as visiting small retailers and cafes.
Given these regional differences, SELAE has two plans for getting the lottery back on track. If by Saturday, May 16, all provinces can move to Phase 1, then lottery ticket sales across the country will restart on Monday, May 18. The initial draws will feature La Primitiva and EuroMillones, with the Bonoloto and El Gordo de la Primitiva following a week later.
However, if certain regions are still in Phase 0 by Saturday, the alternative plan is to postpone the lottery relaunch until Thursday, May 21. On this date, all lotteries would resume except Euromillones, which would have its first draw on Saturday, May 23, with regular draws starting from Monday, May 25.
In either scenario, the Loteria Nacional's return is slated, with the first draw scheduled for June 11.
