Back in 1992, Nottingham Forest was among the pioneering 22 teams in the inaugural Premier League season, under the iconic leadership of Brian Clough.
Unfortunately, their initial Premier League journey was short-lived, as they faced relegation to the First Division in 1994 after the first season.
After enduring a mixed journey in the top-flight and facing relegation in 1999, Forest embarked on a 23-year wait to rejoin the Premier League.

Steve Cooper, a former footballer, now serves as the head coach for Nottingham Forest, bringing his expertise to the club.
Born on October 10, 1979, in Pontypridd, Wales, Cooper started as a midfielder for Wrexham in 1997. His playing days also included time at The New Saints, Rhyl, Bangor City, and Porthmadog before hanging up his boots in 2006.
Transitioning to coaching, Cooper developed his skills at Wrexham, Liverpool, and with the Football Association of Wales. His notable role began as head coach for the England U17 team in 2014, achieving success at the UEFA European U17 Championship in 2017.
Such impressive accomplishments with the England U17 squad paved the way for his appointment at Swansea City in 2019. Despite leading them to the Championship playoffs twice, each attempt ended in defeat, notably against Brentford.
In June 2021, Cooper made the move to Nottingham Forest, and he successfully led the team to the Premier League after securing 4th in the Championship for the 2021/22 season.
Most supporters are satisfied with Cooper's initial campaign with Nottingham Forest, which saw the team's long-awaited return to English football's top tier after 23 years. However, despite a significant investment close to £300 million into fresh talent, Forest's performance has been underwhelming and they face a precarious position in the standings.
The substantial financial commitment and influx of new talent meant to elevate their Premier League performance add mounting pressure on Cooper to avoid the club's fall.
